Tags in Brink's Business Expense help you get organized. In Brink's Business Expense, you can create custom tags designed specifically for your business, enabling you to further leverage the dashboard to visually track the breakdown of transactions in the way that works best for you. Once your transactions have been tagged, you’ll be able to quickly view transactions by specific custom tags, create reports, and drill down on how your expenses are organized.
Other Transaction Filters are available so you can see exactly the expense data you want or need to see in just a few clicks.
Here are some basics on using tags:
Creating new tags - New tags can be created by business owners and administrators. There are two ways to create tags. The first is by using the Tag Manager listed under the Account icon in the upper right corner of your browser.
The second is done through the Transactions tab. When a transaction's details is expanded, the Tags field contained within allows for free form text to be entered. If no existing tag matches the text entered, hitting the Enter/Return key on your keyboard will then create a new tag.
Tagging transactions - Business owners and administrators with edit capabilities can tag transactions by navigating to the Transactions page, and expanding the details for a particular transaction. Like creating a new tag, simply begin typing in the "Tags" field to find existing tag matches. Use the arrow keys + Enter on your keyboard or your mouse to click on the desired tag you want to set on the transaction.
